Austin 2

This morning we cycled to the Wholefoods Supermarket in the rain and had a rather excellent breakfast.

On the way back, I heard a loud explosion which was my rear inner tube exploding through the sidewall of my tyre. Fortunately, Leo had some bits of old tyre and duct tape with him, so we repaired it, put only 30lbs pressure in, and headed back home.
We cycled through an up market shopping mall.

It's just a statue, honest.

We used a cyclepath and crossed a railway line.

I made it without incident, had a quick shower and was then transported back to the bike shop where I became the proud owner of a new tyre and an incredibly bright rechargeable light, apparently visible from 1000 yards.

Later, Tom Zack dropped in on his way to Buda to cycle with us and we left in convoy. The weather got rather worse, as did the volume of traffic.

Leo wasn't phased though.

I must be home!!!

We then caught up with the rest of the gang in Logan's. Buckets of peanuts in their kernels were provided on each table.

Goodness me!

This is apparently acceptable behaviour here.

This was their 'kickin' chickin salad', their spelling, not mine.

This is Don's salad.

He made the mistake of underestimating the size of the portion and ordered barbecued ribs as well. Oops.

Here is our very comfy room in the Holiday Inn Express.

The weather forecast is less than good for tomorrow with more rain expected. Hmmmmm.
